NBN Sports Academy (NBNSA) is a 30,000 square foot multi-sport facility, centrally located in Wilmington, Delaware.
Our facility features 3 hard wood basketball courts, 5 volleyball courts & roll-away turf. Our facility will offer both youth and adult athletic programs such as basketball leagues, flag football, futsal, pickle ball and more. We will also be a venue for tournaments and rentals for many different events.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
NBN Sports Academy was founded by Lonnie Wright in 2017 as a small youth basketball program. The program was started after Lonnie's young daughter expressed her desire to "never play basketball again", having been enrolled in a league that did not give her the opportunity to play, grow or learn the game adequately. Lonnie decided that he would start his own league that would focus on growth & development for athletes of all skill levels, while granting them all the opportunity to play. Lonnie's program quickly grew from 30 kids to over 200 enrolled each season, creating a need for a larger space to call home.
The NBN Sports Academy facility has provided the opportunity to not only grow in our program offerings but expand into additional athletics, educational and life skills classes, tournament hosting, and more.
